Star Tribune: Former University of Minnesota regent makes sure black men at private colleges finish and thrive

The Star Tribune recently recognized Abdul Omari of AMO Enterprise for his role in supporting African American male college students at Minnesota private colleges.

The Ciresi Walburn Foundation for Children is proud to partner with Abdul Omari and Carolyn Jones from the Minnesota Private College Fund to support the Ciresi Walburn Scholars. Our scholars program includes mentoring and career experiences and has grown to include more than two dozen college juniors and seniors.

We appreciate the knowledge, commitment to equity and sense of urgency Abdul Omari brings to post-secondary efforts!
