Star Tribune: Urgent Action Needed on Student Achievement Gaps
All Minnesota students have promise. However, much work remains to improve our schools in light of Minnesota’s lack of progress on closing achievement gaps for children of color.
Our foundation is raising awareness of Minnesota’s education disparities through a campaign that includes ads on busses, light rail and billboards across the Twin Cities. The Star Tribune mentioned our foundation’s campaign in a recent editorial about our state’s student achievement gaps.
We applaud the editorial and agree that state leaders should heed the Star Tribune’s call for “the urgent need for action.”
